Banana Fudge Hemp Protein Brownie (flourless)

Welcome to one of our richest and tastiest brownies.  Crazy simple.  No added sugar, butter, or flour but plenty of our amazing and nutritious hemp protein.  The brownie pictured is the avocado version and sweetened with just-ripe bananas.  Instead of making this in a tin, we flattened the mixture onto a lined baking sheet.  Once cooled… smother with peanut butter topping, sprinkle with hemp hearts, and cut into wedges.  This one’s a keeper!!!

Ingredients

 4 Ripe bananas
 120 g Apple sauce or ripe avocado
 8 tbsp Cocoa powder
 100 g Hemp protein
 1 tsp Baking soda
 A good pinch of salt
 A splash of vanilla essence
 Optionally - 40 gms of chopped chocolate, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, nuts or seeds of choice
 Your favourite nut butter for topping
 A handful of hemp hearts for sprinkling

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 175ºC and prepare a cake tin with non-stick foil or baking paper.
2. Whizz the banana and apple sauce (or avocado), until smooth with a blend stick or alternatively, mix all the ingredients, except for the chocolate in a food processor then stir in the rest of the ingredients.
3. Spread the mixture into a 20 x 30 tin or spread into a circle on baking paper.
4. Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
5. Remove from oven and let cool.
6. Smother in your favourite nut butter and sprinkle with hemp hearts!
